Bluetooth wireless capability lets you listen to audio from up to 30 feet away, where- as the padded headband and ear cushions make extended listening easy. The recharge- able battery provides eight to 10 hours of con- tinuous use. A built-in mic allows you to have wireless phone calls and a remote control on the ear cup puts track control, play/pause, an- swer/end calls and volume control within easy reach. Voice prompts enhance the user experi- ence with Bluetooth pairing and interface con- f rmations. In addition the iB87 provides detailed, dy- namic sound with enhanced bass response; with the on-ear control, users can adjust track selection, play/pause, answer and end call functions and volume control. Philips Expands Fidelio Range RENAISSANCE MEETING ROOMS, BALLROOM 1 Having developed a strong reputation for sound, design and innovation with its Philips Fidelio range of headphones, Philips HD is unveiling Philips Fidelio NC1s, the f rst in the range with Active Noise Cancellation (ANC). Philips Fidelio NC1 headphones use ANC to block out ambi- ent noise for an enhanced travel experience. The headphones use a hybrid ANC approach, with four microphones detecting ambi- ent noise before inverting the signal, effectively canceling it out and converting background noise to silence. Two "FeedBackward" mi- crophones positioned next to the headphone drivers provide strong noise cancellation at low frequencies, whereas the two "FeedFor- ward" microphones positioned on the outside of the headphone ex- tend the bandwidth of noise cancellation into the mid and high frequencies. Foldable and lightweight, every element of the NC1s' design has been developed with travelers in mind, said the company. The memory-foam ear pads are designed to provide an ergonomic f t, great comfort and breathability. Battery life is listed at 30 hours. Price and availability will be announced at the show.
