166 | 2015 INTERNATIONAL CES DAILY | JANUARY 6-9, 2015 BOOTH 71572 Two hot topics at this year's International CES are green power and drones, and QSolar will marry the two categories with the debut of its new solar-powered glider plane. The company's SprayTek99 and ESS technology enables the full integration of solar cells on virtually any substrate, said QSolar. This technology is very suitable to be applied on drones, as the solar cells can embedded directly on the wings, without the need of backsheets and with- out the need of attaching existing solar panels. The company noted that the technology "creates an unparalleled power-to-weight ratio, which is opening up various applications in the UAV drone technology." The glider is said to ensure continuous f ying on a 24-hour basis. They are divided in three main categories: drones that f y during daylight for a specif ed number of hours: model UAV-1 D; drones that f y continuously for a full day: model UAV-1 FD; and the perpetual f ying drone that can f y continuously for several years, (depending on the battery lifetime): model UAV-PS. Pricing will be available at the show. QSolar Gliders Soar All Day NEW & NOTEWORTHY NEW PRODUCTS DEBUTING AT 2015 INTERNATIONAL CES
