It also includes a motion sensor to detect when a person enters or leaves a room, and turns the fan on and off automatically. If the user changes Haiku's speed, SenseMe's Smart Mode remem- bers and makes more personalized adjustments in the future. The Haiku ceiling fan includes an LED light that integrates seamlessly into the fan and features a dig- ital dimmer offering 16 unique brightness settings. A smartphone can be used to control the fan's seven speeds, LED, and special modes such as Gradual Awake, Sleep and Whoosh. Handcrafted in the U.S., the Haiku fans are hand-balanced in a 13-step process to eliminate any wobbling. Metra Unveils 4K-Ready HDMI Cables At CES BOOTH 12434 Metra Home Theater Group is introducing of a new line of 4K-ready HDMI cables to deliver a verif ed 18 Gb/s HD signal for higher resolutions, frame rates and colors over HD digital interconnects. Guaranteeing the high bandwidth support necessary for the future of 4K content in home theaters and beyond, Metra's cables support Ultra HD/4K signals at 60Hz and 48-bit deep color. The technology has also been designed and engineered to support up to 32 audio channels and dual video streams, which enables the delivery of multiple-viewer or mul- tiple-source content on the same screen. Available in 3-foot and 6-foot models in the Helios by Audio Solutions product line, the new HDMI cables support an Audio Return Channel for the convenient delivery of HD audio content. Also included are the stan- dard connected home features of Ethernet signals and backwards com- patibility with legacy HDMI systems. With the introduction of HDMI 2.0 technology, older cables may limit the audio and video performance of new technology and multimedia content. Pricing and availability will be announced at the show.
