LoopPay's Magnetic Secure Transmission (MST) technology and LoopPay App allows consumers to store all their c r e d i t , d e b i t , affinity and gift c a r d s d ig i t a l l y and use them to pay at any retailer with a magnetic stripe credit card reader or contactless NFC terminal. Users simply tap a button on their Trident LoopPay case to make a payment, or open the LoopPay app to tap and pay with a card of their choice. Trident will begin developing the LoopPay case for the Samsung Note 4; it will be available later this year. By david elrich Las vegas rumors to the contrary, Panasonic is still in the consumer electronics business, even though it was hard to tell after a presentation heavy on business-to-business and oeM solutions. after all the talk by Ceo Joseph taylor about Panasonic's leading positions as an automotive sup- plier of infotainment technology and lithium-ion batteries, Julie bauer, president, Panasonic con- sumer electronics, got to the key reasons most peo- ple are at the show: televisions, smartphones, dig- ital imaging devices and, yes, beauty products. as a curveball, she also disclosed the company would reintroduce the storied technics audio brand after an absence of six years with a series of high-end components. bauer noted Panasonic is "far more than a great tV company," but 4K uHD televisions were front and center. the top-of-the-line CX850 series was given the usual Vanna white pull-down cloth un- veiling. the set is packed with the most "pro tech- nologies" in a consumer uHD tV, according the bauer. the CX850 series will be available in 55- and 65-inch sizes. the 2015 television lineup fea- Panasonic Turns To 4K; revives Technics Trident, Looppay Team For Digital Wallet phone Cases panasonic unveiled two new 4k camcorders tures four 4K ultra HD series (CX850, CX800, CX650, CX600) for a total of nine models.
